Penang – The recently concluded Bazaar Jom Cuti-Cuti Malaysia (BJCCM) 2024 at Gurney Paragon Mall from 23rd to 25th August was an overwhelming success! Organized by the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia, the event showcased the best of domestic tourism, featuring 58 total exhibitors offering exclusive travel packages, luxury hotel stays, and thrilling theme park experiences.

The three-day event not only highlighted Malaysia’s diverse travel destinations but also served as a platform for cultural exchange and community engagement. The vibrant atmosphere was enhanced by live cultural performances, interactive activities, and special promotions that captivated thousands of visitors.

Key Achievements:

  • Over 25,000 visitors: The event drew a significant crowd, reflecting the growing interest in domestic tourism and the appeal of the BJCCM platform.
  • Total of 58 exhibitors: Exhibitors from across Malaysia participated, showcasing a wide range of travel, hospitality, and leisure offerings.
  • RM 1 million+ in sales: The event successfully stimulated the local economy, with exhibitors reporting strong sales figures.

Dato’ Khoo Boo Lim, Organising Chairman of BJCCM 2024 and Vice President of MAH, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome: “Our initial target was well below the million mark, but the overwhelming response has shown that there is still strong demand for domestic travel.”

The association sold foodstuffs and art pieces made by their beneficiaries, using the opportunity to fundraise and raise awareness for their cause.
