“Embrace The Gift of Life” is an annual charity project initiated by Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, in 1985 to support children with severe heart ailments and other serious medical conditions. Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur has raised over RM4 million with generous support from our patrons and helped hundreds of critically ill children through this charity project. This year, the Hotel’s chosen theme is the Enchanted Christmas Charity Tree. Five colour variations of the Nutcracker ornaments will occupy ten tiers of rotating conical steel structure on the giant Christmas Tree in the Lobby.

These hand-crafted ornaments reflect the colours of happiness and strength, symbolizing the hope we bring to children with serious ailments and the chance to live a fulfilling life post-surgery. Each ornament is artfully designed by our pastry team, led by our Pastry Artist, Wayne Siow. The team of three pastry chefs spent three weeks perfecting the designs and dedicated an average of ten hours each day to ensure the ornaments were handmade to the highest standards. We would like to invite you and your organization to support this annual fundraising charity by sponsoring any of the five ornaments with a minimum donation of RM1,100 each. The donors name or company logo will be displayed below each set of ornaments.
