Inaugural MAH Hospitality Week Wraps Up With Resounding Success!


The Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) have recently successfully concluded its inaugural MAH Hospitality Week 2025 on 29 May 2025 at Vivatel Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The three-day industry event united five major programs under one roof, welcoming thousands of hoteliers, suppliers, thought leaders, and hospitality professionals to the nation’s most comprehensive hospitality gathering of the year.

 

MAH Hospitality Week Recap

Held from 27 to 29 May, the event was designed as a collaborative platform to drive innovation, forge business connections, and prepare Malaysia’s tourism industry for Visit Malaysia 2026. Each of the five individual hospitality week event received strong turnout, vibrant engagement, and positive feedback.



 

1. Visit Malaysia 2026: Signature Mocktail Championship (27–28 May)

Organised by the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), the Malaysian Food and Beverage Executives Association (MFBEA), and the Mixology Alliance of MFBEA (MAM) with proud sponsorship from Yeo’s, this nationally celebrated competition brought together 32 of Malaysia’s top hotel mixologists in a showcase of creative non-alcoholic beverages infused with local flavours and cultural inspiration.

Winners:

Champion: Muhammad Nadzemi Bin Norihan (Renaissance Kuala Lumpur)

·       Drink name: Bandung Pandan Spritz

1st Runner-Up: Muhammad Raihan Bin Rajuddin (M Resort Kuala Lumpur)

·       Drink name: Madani 69

2nd Runner-Up: Hor Shu Yih, Rachel (Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur)

·       Drink name: Sunshine Ria

The winning drink, Bandung Pandan Spritz will now be adopted as the official Visit Malaysia Year 2026 Welcome Mocktail and will be served throughout participating hotel across the nation beginning next year.



 

2. Hospitality Suppliers Expo (28–29 May)

A dynamic trade exhibition, the Hospitality Suppliers Expo showcased an impressive lineup of over 100 leading hospitality brands, presenting a diverse range of innovations, products, and services. For two days, the exhibition floor was buzzing with activities as over 3500 visitors engaged in face-to-face conversations, discuss new ideas, built partnerships, and business opportunities to drive the industry forward.



 

3. Hospitality Leadership Conference 3.0 (28 May)

HLC is a premier gathering of leaders from across the hospitality industry designed to foster dialogue, collaboration, and idea exchange on emerging trends and pressing challenges. For its 3rd edition, HLC brought together over 200 delegates from across Malaysia’s hospitality sector to discuss key topics including AI, workforce transformation, brand culture, and mental wellness, marking yet another successful edition of the event.



 

HLC 3.0 Sub-Segment: MAHTEC Executive Diploma Graduation Ceremony

On 28th May, during the Hospitality Leadership Conference intermission segment, MAHTEC proudly held the graduation ceremony for its Executive Diploma in Hospitality Management. Since 1995, MAHTEC Executive Diploma in Hospitality Management has been a benchmark of excellence for hotel professionals, equipping them with practical industry skills and leadership knowledge. 

 

To graduate, participants must complete nine certification training series covering all the key functions of hospitality within the allotted time. This year’s proud graduates are:

4. MAH Networking Evening (28 May)

An exclusive cocktail reception held on the evening of the conference; this respite provided delegates with a relaxed and engaging environment to connect and deepen professional ties among peers - wrapping up a productive day on a joyful note.

 

5. MAH National Annual General Meeting (AGM) (29 May)

MAH successfully held its pivotal 51st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 29th May 2025. An election year for MAH top leadership, the AGM concluded with the existing Board of Directors reaffirmed for the 2025–2028 term through an uncontested nomination process, signaling the membership’s strong confidence in MAH’s current leadership and its strategic direction.
