Malaysia
has one of the lowest sugar prices in ASEAN and globally, contributing to
excessive consumption and alarming health statistics such as 7 million
Malaysians living with Type 2 diabetes, rising cases of chronic kidney disease,
and a worrying increase in childhood diabetes (affecting 1 in 3 children).
