MAH STC for Hospitality Meeting at HRD Corp

MAH as part of the Sectoral Training Committee (STC) for Hospitality
attended its meeting on 19th January at HRD Corp where we convened
with other industry stakeholders to discuss on the sector’s training needs and
requirements to ensure that the HRD levy will be utilised more effectively.
The meeting saw a number of significant outcomes including:
- The committee will now be assisting the development of IndSF (Industrial Skills Framework) document.
- Provide strategic input for certification-based training programme and identify priority areas to further improve upon.
Promote levy utilisation.
Facilitate organising seminars/ conferences to promote IndSF and Human
Capital Agendas; agenda that are in line with our upcoming MAH Hospitality
Leadership Conference planned in May 2023.
The meeting also saw the appointment of Ms. Shirley, the committee permanent
member to be its Chairperson for the term 2022 to 2024. Datin Christina Toh as
the alternate member of the committee, handed her role and responsibility over to
Mr. Isaac our CEO.
